Before founding Before The Future, Andrew B. Quiming served 23 years in defense of our Country—as a United States Marine, in federal service, and as a defense contractor, he blocked cyber criminals and nation-state adversaries from accessing the top secret information and critical systems that defend our country from kinetic attacks.  He has dedicated his life to supporting the military men and women that are on the front lines defending our nation against its enemies.

Having access to military cyber defense training, technology, tactics, and seemingly infinite resources defending military systems and networks, he realized the disheartening reality that small and medium sized organizations that are the foundation of our communities, lack the fundamental strategies and resources required to protect themselves from an ever-evolving threat landscape, and that they remain dangerously exposed to cyberattacks that are aimed to destroy their organization and our way of life.

As he read exponentially increasing news reports of cyberattacks occurring against organizations large or small and learning that the enemy was using these organizations as hopping points to attack critical infrastructure, he knew something had to be done to stop the onslaught.  This was the purpose that led him to transition from the public to the private sector and to develop cost effective approaches to cybersecurity that small and medium sized organizations can implement.  Defending his country by protecting the organizations that support our daily lives became his new mission and the birth of Before The Future.
